Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks offer height and versatility. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Standard lift trucks could not move the cargo towards and away from the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It comes with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to raise personnel. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a chain or strap which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
