The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were inaccessible by traditional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform needs to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both effectiveness and productivity.
