Used Doosan Large Capacity Forklifts Simi Valley

Forklifts are crucial tools used in modern industries. Companies that use forklifts have to understand their significance, their functional requirements, and the safety aspects involved in lift truck applications. Forklifts are really a good investment that would increase efficiency and productivity in the workplace.

Significance
Forklifts are a very effective way to move product. They are a modern way to transport goods and supplies in a wide range of settings. Forklifts are used to move things which are bulky and heavy which would otherwise have to be transported by hand in smaller units.

Function
Forklifts could reach racks as high as 9 to 12 meters. This allows efficient use of maximum storage capacity inside a retail store or warehouse. The forks move up and down by a telescopic hydraulic cylinder on the forklift mast. Different sets of hydraulic cylinders are used so as to tilt the mast and shift it to the side, for positioning. A telescopic hydraulic cylinder is a type of attachment which allows an even higher lift through the use of a hydraulic cylinder system that works much like a telescope. Each section slides inside the other similar to sections of a telescope.

Features
Control levers help to raise the forks down and up, side shift and tilt. The operator pulls back on the down and up lever to raise the forks, pushing the lever forward will lower the forks. Tilt the load back by pulling back the lever, push it forward to tilt the load forward. The side shift lever controls the left and right movement of the forks. Not like cars, forklifts steer from the back tires. This permits the lift truck to turn in a really small radius. The transmission reverse and forward controls are located on the steering column.
