Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories which generate enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the noises generated from the forklift itself.
The sound has to be readily discernible from other audible devices or noises within the work environment. Sound should be readily discernible from other sound or audible devices in the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care needs to be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really harder to hear the audible device and to determine what direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices could sometimes get disabled from employees and operators since they could find them really irritating. Furthermore, audible devices can also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to avoid injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit through removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each specific use, the operator can choose the performance requirement. In addition, it allows a supervisor to set the unit's maximum performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and lessen the maximum performance of the model allows a new operator to learn the machine's operating features in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is required to activate and override the model. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the machinery in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing their tail swing area, and operating space behind the vehicle.
